New Video Series Coming!

We’re pleased to share that we’re in the process of creating a new instructional video series to support fish ageing professionals, students, and researchers. These videos will walk through key techniques and workflows used in ageing labs, providing practical guidance alongside the resources already available in the Known-Age Fish Image Database.

What We’re Working On

The videos will cover a range of topics including:

  • Otolith extractions for different species
  • Sample preparation and mounting techniques
  • Age interpretation demonstrations
  • How age data can be use

The goal is to provide a visual, accessible supplement to the image database which may be especially helpful for training new readers, standardizing methods, or brushing up on lab skills.

Watch on YouTube or Right Here

All videos will be freely available on our website and on a new YouTube channel, which we’ll be launching soon. We encourage you to subscribe once it’s live to stay up to date as new content is added. In the meantime, you can continue to check the blog for updates and progress as we add on this new resource!
